Julson just finished the "Basics" course at Colombia Immersion.
He is forming sentences, talking about the present tense, and expressing opinions. You can see he is thinking a lot about everything he says, which is normal for a beginner speaker.
Students spend 60 hours of class (3 weeks of our intensive classes) to reach this level if they start from zero.
Moira just finished the "Functional" course at Colombia Immersion.
She can speak in present and basic past tenses and is gaining confidence telling stories and creating more advanced sentence structures.
Students spend 120 hours of class (6 weeks of our intensive classes) to reach this level if they start from zero.
"Conversational A" Course
Chris just finished the "Conversational I" course at Colombia Immersion.
He is getting better at giving opinions and expressing ideas with more natural expression. He still hesitates and makes mistakes - and that's OK! Mistakes and uncertainty are part of the learning process and important as you progress in your language learning.
Spanish students spend 180 hours of class (9 weeks of our intensive classes) to reach this level if they start from zero.
"Conversational B" Course
Alex just finished the "Conversational II" course at Colombia Immersion.
He can speak in the past and future tense comfortably. Even though he still makes mistakes, you can see he is fluid in his speaking and uses natural gestures that make him an effective communicator in Spanish.
Students spend 240 hours of class (12 weeks of our intensive classes) to reach this level if they start from zero.
How long is each course?
Each course reflects 60 hours of class. This is either three weeks of intensive (20 hours a week) classes or six weeks of semi-intensive (10 hours a week) classes.
How will I know what course I'm in?
Once you register for classes,, we will do a verbal level test to place you in a course appropriate for your level
