Go to the central park of Envigado to just look around and see how Colombian locals live their liveswhat they buy, what they eat, etc.

A few blocks from the school there is “plaza de mercado,” place where you will find fresh veggies and fruits. Tell the vendor that you’re going to prepare your own salpicón (fruit salade) and ask him what fruits he recommends to you.

Go to a local tienda (shop) or panadería (bakery) for breakfast. A simple sentence like “lindo día ¿no?” is guaranteed the beginning of a nice conversation to try out everything you’ve learned in class!

Give your body and brain a rest during the weekends and go on a nature hike in “El Parque El Salado” to take in some green energy and bathe in a waterfall — only 15 minutes away from the school!

Getting to Envigado

Medellin is home to one of the most innovative transportation systems in South America. Its metro lines cross the city all the way from the north to the south and the east to the west. On top of that it has many bus lines that will take you anywhere you need.
Just 20 minutes north of the school you’ll find the popular El Poblado sector.

Use the Metro

Take the metro to the “Envigado” station. From there, catch a green bus to Parque Envigado, and get off one the stop after Parque Envigado. Turn right on Carrera 40, then walk until you get to Calle 40DD Sur, about 7 blocks. Take a left when you see a little micro-fútbol field called Cancha la Merced. Our school is the large white house on the corner across from the big red church.
