Go to the central park of Envigado to just look around and see how Colombian locals live their lives—what they buy, what they eat, etc.
A few blocks from the school there is “plaza de mercado,” place where you will find fresh veggies and fruits. Tell the vendor that you’re going to prepare your own salpicón (fruit salade) and ask him what fruits he recommends to you.
Go to a local tienda (shop) or panadería (bakery) for breakfast. A simple sentence like “lindo día ¿no?” is guaranteed the beginning of a nice conversation to try out everything you’ve learned in class!
Give your body and brain a rest during the weekends and go on a nature hike in “El Parque El Salado” to take in some green energy and bathe in a waterfall — only 15 minutes away from the school!

You can add: “cerca de la Cancha la Merced (a micro-futbol field) enfrente la Iglesia de El Dorado” (the church across the street).
Our school is a large white house on the corner across from a big red church. Locals know it as as “la esquina de los extranjeros”
